Warpstalkers can’t fly
But apparently they occasionally try to…
There I was attempting to complete that Netherwing quest “The not-so-friendly skies” and I happened to be using the warp (due to helping some casters quest earlier, he is after all my tank pet) - anyway every time I shot at the flybys the warp would simply disappear, all attempts to recall the sod indicated he was dead.
It took three cases of this before I worked out what was going on.
The silly lizard was warping up to (or behind) the orcs adragonback … and then dropping to his death.
Because we happened to be standing on a chunk of floating rock out in the middle of nether space.
Bah, the ditz.

oh yeah - but I can’t work out why he simply didn’t despawn. There must be a cut off point in the fall that equals certain death and its just before pet despawn or something - Think I will have to go out there and jump him off the edge intentionally to see… poor warp.
Ha Ha Ha that’s sooo funny - sounds like something that would happen to me but it probably would have taken longer because I probably just would have blamed lag first!
